GENERAL PRACTITIONER (GP) – AUSTRALIA Full Time

akora Human Capital, representing our Australian client, is seeking experienced General Practitioners (GPs) for opportunities in Australia.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary healthcare services, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, preventative healthcare and ongoing management of a broad range of medical conditions.

Candidates must meet the applicable Australian registration and eligibility requirements and have a minimum of 4 years’ relevant professional experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience as a General Practitioner.
Relevant medical degree/qualification.
Current professional registration or eligibility for registration in Australia.
Meet the applicable Australian medical registration and eligibility requirements.
Demonstrated experience in general practice and primary healthcare.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Ability to independently manage a broad range of patient presentations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to patient-centred care.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Strong clinical documentation and record-keeping skills.
Must currently be based in Australia for this mandate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct comprehensive consultations and medical assessments.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Develop and implement appropriate treatment and management plans.
Provide preventative healthcare and health-promotion services.
Prescribe medication and treatments within the relevant scope of practice.
Monitor patient progress and review treatment outcomes.
Provide patient education and advice regarding health, lifestyle and preventative care.
Refer patients to specialists and allied health professionals when required.
Request and interpret appropriate diagnostic investigations.
Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date patient records.
Provide continuity of care and follow-up for patients.
Collaborate with nurses, specialists, allied health professionals and other healthcare providers.
Maintain professional standards and continuing professional development.
Comply with relevant Australian healthcare legislation, clinical guidelines and practice policies.

ONshore REQUIREMENT
IMPORTANT: This mandate is currently restricted to candidates who are already based in Australia.

Candidates currently outside Australia will not be considered under the current mandate unless the client changes the recruitment scope.
