POSITION OVERVIEW
Takora Human Capital, representing our Australian client, is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to provide professional assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of communication and swallowing disorders.
The successful candidate will work with clients across appropriate age groups and clinical settings, developing individualised intervention plans and collaborating with families, carers and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years’ relevant professional experience and meet the applicable Australian registration and eligibility requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience as a Speech Pathologist.
Relevant Speech Pathology qualification from an accredited institution.
Current professional registration or eligibility for registration in Australia.
Meet the applicable Australian registration/eligibility requirements.
Demonstrated experience assessing and managing communication and/or swallowing disorders.
Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
Ability to develop and implement individualised therapy and treatment plans.
Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong clinical documentation and reporting skills.
Commitment to client-centred and evidence-based practice.
Must currently be based in Australia for this mandate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct comprehensive speech, language and communication assessments.
Assess and manage speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties within the relevant scope of practice.
Develop individualised assessment, intervention and treatment plans.
Deliver evidence-based speech pathology interventions.
Monitor client progress and modify intervention plans where required.
Provide appropriate communication and swallowing strategies to clients, families and carers.
Conduct clinical reviews and document outcomes.
Prepare professional clinical reports and maintain accurate client records.
Collaborate with families, carers, educators and other relevant stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Refer clients to other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
Provide education and advice regarding communication and swallowing needs.
Maintain professional knowledge through continuing professional development.
Comply with relevant Australian healthcare, professional and workplace standards.

All registration and eligibility requirements will be subject to verification by the relevant Australian authorities and the client’s requirements.
ONshore REQUIREMENT
IMPORTANT: This mandate is currently restricted to candidates who are already based in Australia.
Candidates currently outside Australia will not be considered under the current mandate unless the client changes the recruitment scope.
