Workshop Controller – Umhlanga Full Time

A well-established automotive dealership in Umhlanga is looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to join its service department.

The successful candidate must have a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills and the ability to coordinate the daily workflow of a busy automotive workshop. Previous experience working with the BSI system is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and control the daily workflow of the workshop
Allocate work to technicians according to their skills and availability
Monitor the progress of repairs and services
Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within the required timeframes
Liaise with service advisors, technicians and workshop management
Assist with resolving technical and operational workshop queries
Maintain high standards of productivity and workmanship
Promote teamwork and effective communication within the workshop
Ensure dealership and manufacturer procedures are followed
Minimum Requirements
Previous Workshop Controller experience within an automotive dealership
BSI system experience is essential
A strong automotive technical background
Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities
Strong leadership and communication skills
Must be a team player
Able to perform effectively in a busy workshop environment
Stable employment history with contactable references
Valid driver’s licence
Salary and Benefits
Basic salary of R16 000 to R22 000 per month, depending on experience
