The internship role
The internship position should be fulfilled for a minimum of six months, thereafter an extension can be negotiated. If there is a vacancy within the team or a different team that the intern would be suitable to fulfill, a permanent job offer would be considered.
Objective of role
The main role of the paid media intern is to implement and optimise search advertising campaigns across various platforms. They are responsible for campaign optimization, analysis and reporting and will also assist as technical contact between account managers, clients and creative agencies. Paid media managers must therefore be able to communicate effectively and manage internal and external client expectations.
Roles and responsibilities
- Running, implementing and managing Google Ads and Microsoft advertising campaigns
- Optimising PPC campaigns based on best practices and up-to-date optimisation techniques
- Keyword research, client research and competitive landscape analysis
- Overall account creation and set up
- Ongoing optimisation and strategic feedback
- Performance – ensure campaign targets are met (e.g. CPA / ROAS)
- Client and internal reporting for both operational and invoicing purposes
- Assisting team members with campaign builds, optimisations and quality assurance
Essential requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification related to the role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Passionate about digital marketing.
- Tech-savvy and quick learner.
- Resourceful, eager to learn and takes initiative.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office essential – intermediate to advanced Excel)
- Highly organised with an eye for detail
- Able to work very accurately with numbers
- Able to work on own initiative, prioritise workload and juggle multiple tasks
- Excellent time management
- Strong ability to work well within a team and self-managed environment.
- Able to work earlier working hours (6am to 3pm)
