The internship role

The internship position should be fulfilled for a minimum of six months, thereafter an extension can be negotiated. If there is a vacancy within the team or a different team that the intern would be suitable to fulfill, a permanent job offer would be considered.

Objective of role

As a Paid Media Intern you’ll play a key role in supporting team members across all paid media (social) tasks. The role of a paid media Intern is to assist team members with campaign implementation, optimisation, analysis, reporting and most importantly quality assurance.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Working closely with team members to assist with quality control/assurance and relevant weekly checks.
  • Assist fellow team members with campaign setups. Ensuring sufficient research is done and following directions given by the media manager/consultant.
  • Support team members with reporting requirements on a weekly basis
  • Analysing campaign performance together with suggesting recommendations for optimisation and sharing this with the relevant media manager/consultant.
  • Regular reviews of performance of campaigns across revenue, performance and daily pacing. To provide feedback to the relevant media manager/consultant on performance..
  • Assist with daily reporting and monitoring of campaigns to ensure performance goals and revenue objectives are met.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks

Essential requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification related to the role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Passionate about digital marketing.
  • Tech-savvy and quick learner.
  • Resourceful, eager to learn and takes initiative.
  • Excellent time management and strong ability to work well within a team and self-managed environment.
