Computer User Support Specialist Contract NEW

The Role:

A remote contractor opportunity for an experienced Computer User Support Specialists to contribute their technical troubleshooting expertise to an AI training project.

The role involves applying practical IT support knowledge to help improve next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world technical input. No prior experience working in AI is required. Relevant domain expertise is the primary qualification.

Scope of Work:

Diagnose and resolve common and complex hardware, software, and networking issues using industry best practices.
Provide guidance on operating system support across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, and related technologies.
Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and user interactions clearly within ticket management systems.
Contribute detailed process insights that can improve support workflows and training-data quality.
Collaborate asynchronously and communicate technical concepts clearly through written and verbal channels.
Identify recurring support issues and provide recommendations for process or workflow improvements.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of proven experience providing Tier 2 or Tier 3 IT support.
Strong experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across multiple platforms.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VPNs, and DNS troubleshooting.
Experience with ticket management systems and thorough technical documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and deliver high-quality technical input.
Preferred Qualifications
CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL, or similar certifications.
Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
Experience working on technical projects involving documentation, process improvement, or data quality.
