Diagnostic Motor Mechanic – Umhlanga Full Time

DIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN
Location: Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal

Intercon Recruitment is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician for a position in Umhlanga.

The successful candidate will perform vehicle diagnostics, investigate faults and use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve technical issues.

Minimum Requirements
• 4–5 years’ vehicle diagnostic experience.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment.
• Good technical knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
• Diagnose vehicle faults using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Interpret fault codes and diagnostic results.
• Identify underlying causes and recommend repair solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting and confirm repairs have resolved the faults.
• Maintain accurate records of diagnostic findings and completed work.
• Follow workshop safety procedures and quality standards.

Salary: R18,000–R22,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience, plus incentives, medical aid and pension.
