BSI Controller – Motor Dealership | Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

A well-established motor dealership in Durban is seeking an experienced and organised BSI Controller to coordinate the daily workflow of its busy workshop.

The ideal candidate will have strong dealership workshop experience, excellent planning abilities and the confidence to manage technicians, bookings and work in progress effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Manage workshop bookings and control the daily work schedule.
Allocate jobs to technicians according to their skills and availability.
Monitor all work in progress and ensure vehicles are completed on time.
Liaise with Service Advisors, technicians, parts employees and management.
Monitor technician productivity, efficiency and workshop turnaround times.
Ensure job cards are updated and completed accurately.
Follow up on outstanding parts, approvals and additional repair work.
Maintain dealership service standards and workshop procedures.
Assist with resolving delays and operational challenges.

Minimum Requirements
Previous experience as a BSI Controller or Workshop Controller within a recognised motor dealership is essential.
Workshop Foreman experience will be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of dealership workshop operations and processes.
Experience working on the BSI system or a similar dealership management system.
Matric certificate.
Valid South African driver’s licence.
Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage pressure in a busy workshop environment.
Must reside in Durban or the surrounding area.

Salary
Basic salary: R14 000 – R17 000 per month, depending on experience.
