Please, please can we ask you ~ revise the format & information you send to Advertisers when applying for a job!

Here are some vital tips to get granted an interview – the very first & crucial step to being employed.

  1. Read the advert carefully & be sure to submit all the information requested. Failure to do so, is a message to the would be Employer that you are slap dash & not the kind of dedicated person they would like to join their team.
  2. When sending a photo, be sure that it is a professional head shot only. We get dozens of Applicants’ posing in all sorts of fancy poses. NO!
  3. Do not give a long story of how diligent you are & that you are such a quick learner! This does not wash & sends a message that you are currently clueless, but willing to learn. WRONG.
  4. Desperation, no matter how desperate you are, does not mean one iota to the employer. They simply seek someone, the very best Applicant, to meet the specs they have asked for. If you do not have the credentials, DO NOT apply – finished!
  5. So many Applicants ask us to consider them for ANY position going. This demeans & cheapens yourself. They will simply delete your CV, without even opening it.
  6. Be proud, be confident & show any prospective employer, that you are the best of the best, WITHOUT being arrogant.
  7. And most of all ~ double check the spelling within your CV!
