The Internship Role

The internship position should be fulfilled for a minimum of five months, thereafter an extension can be negotiated. If there is a vacancy within the team or a different team that the intern would be suitable to fulfill, a permanent job offer would be considered.

Objective of Role

The client service (CS) intern will join the team with a view to providing support to the client service team. The CS intern will work hand in hand with an account manager and/or account director, while having regular contact with the client service director and/or business unit directors, on specific projects. He or she will be expected to forge relationships with the broader team, while demonstrating their own initiative to learn the ropes of the business in order to add value where needed. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual who is keen to learn the ropes of digital media by supporting the team on specific clients while working on their own initiative to assist in driving certain projects through to completion.

Roles and responsibilities

• Brief in monthly reports
• Assist with following up on tasks on specific campaigns
• Assist in developing contact reports after meetings.
• Assist with scheduling meetings with clients
• Assist with sending off files to the client as requested by AM/AD
• Brief in requests from client
• Make use of current platforms to follow up on tasks on specific BUs and provide updates to relevant AM/AD
• Assist with scheduling internal meetings
• Assist with the correct filing of documents and files in the correct folder on Google Drive
• Assist with internal communication and ensure teams have the necessary details supplied by the client
• Project assistance
• Quality check creatives

Essential requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification related to the role.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Passionate about digital marketing.
• A tech-savvy and quick learner.
• Resourceful, eager to learn and takes initiative.
• Excellent time management and strong ability to work well within a team and self-managed environment.
