Advertising sales coordinator (intern)
John Brown South Africa is seeking to appoint an Advertising Sales Co-ordinator (intern). The position is based in Cape Town and will report directly to the advertising director.
The ideal candidate has a marketing or sales qualification and want to kickstart their career in advertising sales in a media environment. The candidate must have a passion for advertising and sales, great organisational and admin skills, and be a great communicator.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Proactively source and qualify leads for sales team
- Input and update leads/contacts in database
- Cold calling new potential clients to introduce products
- Reporting on advertising campaigns
- Chasing advertising material from clients.
- Coordinating ad campaigns from start to finish.
Key requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in marketing or sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- The ability to work under pressure and have lots of energy and drive
- Great organisational skills, deadline-driven and the ability to manage time well
- A self-starter who enjoys working in a team, but has the ability to work independently
- The ability to multi-task with high attention to detail
- A keen interest in advertising and sales
Preference will be given in line with John Brown’s employment equity policy
