Cashier Contract NEW

We are seeking a friendly, accurate, and customer-focused Cashier to deliver fast, professional checkout service in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) retail environment. The successful candidate will handle transactions efficiently, promote current offers, and help maintain a clean, well-organised front-end area.

Duties:

• Scan products accurately, verify prices and quantities, and identify pricing or stock discrepancies.
• Process cash, card, mobile, and other electronic payments; issue correct change and receipts.
• Other related duties

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Previous cashier, retail, supermarket, or customer-service experience is advantageous.
• Strong numerical accuracy and confidence handling cash and POS systems.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work accurately and calmly during peak trading periods.
• Reliability, honesty, attention to detail, and a neat personal presentation.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic knowledge of FMCG products, promotions, and stock handling is a plus.
• Willing to work overtime should the need arise
