About the Role
Prue Leith Culinary Institute is looking for a skilled and passionate Junior Pastry Sous Chef & Lecturer to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation and execution of pastry operations while sharing their knowledge and developing the skills of aspiring chefs.

Key Responsibilities
– Assist with the daily operations of the pastry kitchen.
– Prepare and execute high-quality pastries, desserts and baked products.
– Maintain food quality, hygiene and safety standards.
– Support practical culinary training and guide students in developing their pastry skills.
– Assist with lesson preparation, demonstrations and practical assessments.
– Maintain a professional, organised and well-managed kitchen environment.

Minimum Requirements
– Relevant qualification in pastry or professional cookery.
– Practical experience in a professional pastry kitchen.
– Strong technical pastry skills and attention to detail.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills.
– A passion for pastry, teaching and developing future culinary professionals.
– Ability to work flexible shifts, including early starts and late finishes.
– A completed and passed trade test will be an advantage.
