Our client, a well-established medium-sized accounting firm in Knysna, is looking for a detail-driven Tax Technician to join their tax team and work closely with the Tax Manager and Tax Administrator.

Requirements

Experience with income tax returns

Accounting or tax qualification beneficial but not essential

Strong administration and organizational skills

Excellent attention to detail and numeracy

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Good time management skills

Ability to work effectively within a team

Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities

Responsibilities

Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts

Assist with general tax administration

Prepare tax calculations

Assist with SARS objections, disputes and verifications

Handle Tax Clearance applications

Conduct SARS follow-ups and attend SARS appointments

Deal directly with clients and assist with tax-related queries
