Sales Assistant – Clothing Retail Store | Gateway Full Time

A clothing retail store based in Gateway Shopping Centre is looking for a friendly, energetic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join their retail team.

The successful candidate must have previous retail sales experience and enjoy working directly with customers in a busy shopping centre environment.

This position operates according to Gateway Shopping Centre trading hours and candidates must be available to work a two-shift rotation.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist customers in-store and provide friendly, professional service.
Help customers with product selection and general enquiries.
Promote products and assist in achieving store sales objectives.
Maintain a neat, organised and welcoming shop floor.
Assist with merchandising and product displays.
Ensure clothing and merchandise are correctly presented.
Assist with stock-related duties when required.
Maintain high standards of customer service.
Work effectively with other members of the retail team.
Minimum RequirementsPrevious retail sales experience is essential.
Previous clothing retail experience would be beneficial.
Customer-focused with good interpersonal skills.
Well-presented and professional.
Good communication skills.
Energetic, reliable and willing to work in a busy retail environment.
Must be available to work according to Gateway Shopping Centre trading hours.
Must be comfortable working a two-shift rotation.
Salary & BenefitsBasic Salary R6500 – R10 000 + Commision
