A resort in the Drakensberg requires an experienced Receptionist / Reservationist to manage reservations, assist guests and support daily resort operations. Applicants must have previous hospitality reception and reservations experience and be willing to live on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to telephone, WhatsApp and email enquiries.
Process bookings, quotations, invoices and guest payments.
Welcome guests, assist with check-ins and manage guest requests.
Coordinate group bookings and assist with late arrivals when required.
Maintain administrative records and follow up on deposits and outstanding payments.
Assist with payroll administration, timesheets and staff wages.
Prepare invoices and supporting documents for the accountant.
Operate the reception shop and point-of-sale system.
Complete cash-ups, monitor stock and arrange orders.
Issue housekeeping supplies and keys, and assist with housekeeping supervision.
Help ensure accommodation and guest facilities are ready for arrivals.
Support resort operations, events and busy weekend activities.
Assist with marketing, social media and group-booking promotions.
Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality reception and reservations.
Willingness to reside on-site.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Valid driver’s licence.
Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
Strong administration, organisation and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work calmly under pressure.
Ability to learn technology and apps quickly.
Reliable, proactive and willing to assist wherever needed.
Advantageous

Hospitality booking-system experience.
Canva, WhatsApp marketing and AI-tool experience.
isiZulu language skills.
