OPERATIONS MANAGER | SERENGETI,TANZANIA

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operations Manager to join a prestigious luxury safari lodge in Tanzania.

My client is looking for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a guest-focused environment and has a strong commitment to operational excellence, team development, sustainability and exceptional guest experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support senior management in the effective running of the lodge
• Oversee daily lodge operations, Food & Beverage and guest services
• Lead, train and develop staff
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences and personalised service
• Manage guest itineraries, activities and special requests
• Maintain high operational, hospitality and brand standards
• Oversee administration, beverage control and operational ordering
• Lead sustainability, conservation and environmental initiatives
• Drive staff engagement and team activities
• Assist with social media and PR-related communication
• Ensure effective communication across all departments
• Monitor guest feedback and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Promote a culture of excellence, professionalism and teamwork

REQUIREMENTS
• Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management
• 3–4 years’ relevant hospitality experience in a 5 star lodge
• Computer literate
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Strong operational and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proactive, solutions-focused and detail-oriented
• Passionate about guest satisfaction
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements
• Strong team player with a positive and professional approach
