Nieuw Muckleneuk, Pretoria: JUNIOR LITIGATION ATTORNEY

Minimum Requirements:

-Young, professional Afrikaans speaking individual (male preferred)

-Afrikaans and English first and second languages a must (Afr & Eng client base)

-Bachelor of Laws Degree completed, and admitted as an Attorney / currently awaiting admission

-0 to 3 years post admission experience in General Litigation (Not more than 3 years post admission experience)

-Good knowledge of procedural rules for Magistrate’s Court, Regional Court and High Court, with insight into court processes

-Valid driver’s license and own vehicle A MUST

-Stable employment record and contactable references

-Residing in Pretoria

-To start as soon as possible

Duties:

-Attend to General Litigation matters for Law firm, including Civil- and Commercial Litigation

-Drafting legal documents, consulting & liaison with clients and counsel

-Provide through legal advice tailored to clients’ specific circumstances

-General Attorney duties (Court appearances, represent clients in legal matters, maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation, case law and legal practice etc.)

-Ensure maintenance of efficient administrative systems and accurate record-keeping

Salary: R 20 000.00 gross (Slightly negotiable depending on post admission experience – Junior Level)
