Role Description The Coach Driver role at Craig and Sons is a full-time, on-site position based in Paarl. The driver will operate coaches on scheduled routes and charter services, ensuring safe, smooth, and comfortable transport for passengers. Daily tasks include pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, following assigned itineraries, adhering to traffic and safety regulations, and maintaining clean, presentable vehicles. The role involves assisting passengers with boarding and luggage, providing courteous customer service, and communicating effectively with dispatch and tour coordinators. The driver will also complete necessary logs and documentation, report any mechanical issues promptly, and support company procedures and policies at all times.

Qualifications

Possess a valid professional driving license with a clean driving record and proven experience operating large passenger vehicles or coaches.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of road safety regulations, defensive driving practices, and route planning within Paarl and surrounding areas.
Exhibit excellent customer service skills, including clear communication, patience, and a professional, courteous manner with diverse passenger groups.
Show reliability in time management, punctuality, and adherence to schedules, with the ability to manage long shifts and varying hours.
Maintain attention to detail in vehicle inspections, basic vehicle care, and accurate completion of trip logs and related documentation.
Ability to handle luggage and assist passengers with mobility needs, and to respond calmly and responsibly in unexpected or emergency situations.
Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or luxury transport environments is beneficial.
Willingness to follow company policies, dress code standards, and ongoing training or certification requirements.
