SAFETY OFFICER Full Time NEW

We are looking for a dedicated, qualified, and proactive Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting workplace safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining a safe working environment for employees, clients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and risk assessments.
Identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation and company policies.
Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
Monitor the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain safety records, reports, and incident documentation.
Assist with emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and drills.
Promote a strong safety culture across all operations.
Minimum Requirements
Relevant Safety Officer qualification or certification (e.g SAMTRAC, NOSA) .
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and procedures. Minimum of Grade C PSIRA Certificate. Previous experience in a safety-related role will be an advantage.
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify risks and implement effective safety measures.
Valid driver’s licence will be an advantage, if applicable.
