LUXURY LODGE MANAGER | TANZANIA

Are you an experienced Lodge Manager with a strong background in luxury safari operations?

My client is seeking an accomplished hospitality professional to take responsibility for the overall management of a prestigious luxury safari lodge in Tanzania.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will oversee the full lodge operation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, strong financial performance and a high-performing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Overall management of lodge operations
• Drive exceptional luxury guest experiences
• Lead, develop and mentor the lodge management team and staff
• Manage budgets, forecasting, procurement and CAPEX
• Maintain high service and operational standards
• Oversee maintenance, infrastructure, IT and security
• Ensure health, safety and emergency procedures are maintained
• Manage risk, compliance and relevant stakeholder relationships
• Drive conservation, sustainability and community initiatives
• Develop and enhance the guest experience
• Support lodge marketing and social media initiatives
• Ensure efficient procurement and operational controls

REQUIREMENTS:
• 3–5+ years’ management experience in a 5-star boutique/luxury lodge operation
• Strong lodge and safari camp management experience
• Proven luxury hospitality background
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills
• Strong financial and operational management experience
• Passion for conservation and sustainable tourism
• Remote lodge/safari experience
• Practical understanding of maintenance and infrastructure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent English
• Energetic, hands-on and guest-focused
