THE JOB AT A GLANCE

Develop and implement a Packing department strategy to drive down costs and improve overall effeciencies

WHAT YOU WILL DO

§Takes the ownership of continuous improvement of existing packaging solutions
§Achieve Overall Equipment Efficiencies of > 85%
§Ensure that an effective maintenance plan is adhered to
§Successfully motivate and implement of projects within budget
§Reconcile packing material usage and stock control
§Ensure that packing material is purchased according to forecast
§Track and monitor packed product damages and implement a plan to reduce to <1%.
§Ensure accurate packing figures in order to manage finished product stock variances within agreed tolerances
§Manage packaging stock holding as per minimum ordering levels & supplier lead times
§Manage expense control within approved budget
§Application of good Manufacturing Practices
§Responsible for food safety included in the FSSC 22000 system
§Reduce customer complaints due to packing inefficiencies
§Statistical Production Schedule Control
§Comply with Safety, Health, Environment and Risk standards
Achieve a 20 Keys score of 3.5

§Academic –  •  Grade 12 with preferably a Degree or Diploma (e.g. Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing management. 5 years experience in FMCG Industry
