Mechanical Design Engineer experience in Fixtures+ Sheet metal + Tooling Designing – JHB

Must be able to start immediately or within 1-2 days

Mechanical Degree 4year Engineering Degree is essential

Minimum 3 – 8+ years’ experience in mechanical design field, within the Automation industry

With 5+ years’ working experience in Mechanical Designing in Steel metal and Geo-Fixture and Tooling Design.

Which other industries have you gained Mechanical Designing in, and for which products did you design.

Must have very good Solid works design +3D CAD modelling experience.

Conceptualize + design Body in White Fixtures (BIW).

Have you gained Hydraulics and Pneumatics working experience.

Conceptualize + design robotic welding and assembly cell layouts.

Conceptualize+ design end of arm tooling and geo-fixtures.

Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software (advantageous)

Conceptualize and design mechanical purpose-built machinery, industrial equipment, robotic welding and assembly cells, body in white jigs, conveyance systems and lifting equipment.

Analyse mechanical functionality of systems, including Finite Element Analysis.

Specification of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.

Experience in Specification of electro-mechanical + pneumatic control systems.

Good Understanding of the Fixture and Tooling Production Process.

Good Understanding of Tolerance + References.

Able to work under pressure and deadlines.

Specification of required system components.

Develop manufacturing drawings + BOM’s.

Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Work to company CAD + PDM standards.

Detailed designs must be done to applicable ISO, SABS and Customer Standards.

Prepared to work overtime when required.

Driver’s License.

Able to start immediately or within 1 week great advantage

R25 000- R 35 000 plus negotiable CTC per month
