Facilities Apprentice Full Time

Nova Pioneer is looking for a superstar Facilities Apprentice who will provide ongoing maintenance and support health and safety on our Paulshof Campus.

Please note a Police Clearance / Criminal Check is a requirement for a school-based role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Facilities Apprentice, you will be specifically responsible for the following:

Inspect the building and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions in need of repair.
Prepare a schedule for maintenance matters with the operations team and agree when work will be carried out.
Perform routine building maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
Minimize maintenance disruptions to the running of the school.
Adequately respond to maintenance requests.
Ensure that all building management equipment has the appropriate policy and standard level.
Respond adequately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
Health and Safety team member
ABOUT YOU

Completed Grade 12; ideally you will have also completed a Technical Diploma or Certificate in plumbing/electrical
Knowledge of General Safety principles
Preferred work experience includes:Building/construction 3 years
Gardening 2-3 years
General maintenance duties 3 years
