The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the Globaltrack Installations Team by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that each and every Globaltrack Installation of a product into a Client’s Fleet is done to specification and on time – giving the client an excellent on-site installations experience.
Job Description
Scorecard:Manage the Installation Teams weekly Installations & QA balanced scorecard to track, monitor, update, and improve key performance indicators (KPI) within the Installations Team.
Conduct gap analysis to compare actual performance with potential performance by developing strategies to identify efficacy or performance improvement initiatives.
Skills Development Programme:Development of an Installations Technician Internship Programme & Framework aligned to SETA which includes alignment, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
Formulating and submitting Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Reports to relevant SETA’s.
Working with the Installations Coach & Installations Planner to develop a weekly training programme to upskill Installation Technicians to ensure Installation & QA targets are achieved.
People and Organisational Development:Responsible for the successful delivery of change initiatives within the Department and scaling for growth within the Team for Operational excellence.
Driving results through planning, alignment, collaboration and leading of the Team.
Activities include defining key processes, identifying key improvement opportunities, scope definition, business case development, developing projects plans, managing the delivery to the business within agreed timeframes, managing relationships, communication and engaging and managing resources as required.
Installations Management:Together with the Installations Planner & Installations Coach, co-ordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of Standard and special Project Installations:Determine what resources are needed
What is required to perform installations flawlessly e.g. tools, type of installers etc.
Ensure all is in place before an installation commences
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget, provided that quality standards are adhered to.
Quality Assurance:Analysis of trends and performing root cause analysis to identify risks and develop mitigation actions to prevent risk from materializing; thereafter rain & monitor the implementation of action plans.
Monitor and report on Installation Technical risk by means of ongoing QA audits.
Review the quality of work completed by the Installations Technicians, on a weekly basis to ensure it meets the required project standards.
Working with the Installations Coach to identity QA gaps and then developing a training programme that addresses these gaps on an ongoing basis.
Job Requirements
Must have 4 to 6 years’ experience in a similar position
Proven track record of leading & scaling teams in growth change management cycle
Able to manage conflict
Strong problem solving aptitude
Experience in reviewing the effectiveness of process controls and standard operating procedures
Willingness to learn and find the answers or solutions to every challenge
Extremely driven and dedicated to excelling / pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved
