MEDICAL REGISTRAR Full Time

Requirements :

MBChB Current Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner in the Category-Public/Independent practice.Diploma or primary of the chosen department will be added advantage.
Duties :

Clinical services – Provide comprehensive patient care, including inpatient and outpatient care, interdisciplinary consultations, up- and down-referral of patients in the relevant specialty; Clinical record entry and maintenance; Supervise junior medical officers, medical interns and students; Outreach services – Participate in outreach to level 1 and 2 health facilities as pertains to the relevant specialty; Teaching – Organise and supervise teaching and training of undergraduate students, participate in University teaching programs and examinations pertaining to the relevant specialty; Research – Participate in research as pertaining to the relevant specialty; Management – Attend and participate in administrative/management duties pertaining to the speciality, including clinical governance, academic governance meetings and other departmental/ hospital/ university administrative meetings in the relevant specialty as determined by the supervisor.
