QUALITY SPECIALIST – Automotive Factory –  East London

• To monitor the plant’s activities and to maintain the product, process, quality and system to agreed standards through facilitation of improvements and audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Recognize Qualification in Quality Management
• National Diploma / Technical Qualification (Mechanical , Industrial,& Chemical Engineering)
• Formal training in Quality Management Principle (e.g. ISO 9001:2015, 14001;IATF 16949:2016)
• Formal Training in auditing techniques (e.g. ISO Internal Auditor, Process Auditor, System Auditor or Product Auditor)
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years working experience in Quality department within an IATF 16949
• Experience in writing procedure and compiling monthly reports
• Experience in using roots cause analyses tools
• Clear understanding of ISIR / PPAP, VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949:2016 and Auditing.
• Training on SHE legislation and/ or Environmental standard (IATF 16949) will be an added advantage.

DUTIES

• Process: System and Process Compliance:  Assist in maintain an integrated quality system structure within BRMP (Business Risk Management Programme) management structure.  Perform audit of the systems, processes and products on site to a defined audit schedule.  Continually monitor the adherence to optimum process setting and controls , targeting Demonstrate an understanding of APQP; PPAP; MSA; Control Plans; PFMEA (Core Tools) continual
• Risk Management:  Facilitate action teams and improvement program’s to continually improve on identified risk.  Ensure that safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained at all times through random auditing of various standard and requirements at set intervals to set format.
• Information Managements and direction focus:  Ensure data collection and analyses of data trends and force areas for improvement drives.  Circulate data and management reports to share information on focus areas and needs for improvement.  Evaluate daily and report on the Customer performance systems of any concerns raised.  Control all quality-related documentation in the plant and approvals to customers. Included will be new products and Projects.  Ensure development and direction to the Quality Engineers and where applicable ensure discipline and adherence of processes by Quality team and sub-ordinates.
• Management of Quality at Source:  Continually improve upon the effective use of quality tools available to assist with improvement drives on the shop floor, at source.  Continually monitor measure and trend the performances within the plant to highlight and reduce risks and concerns.  Maintain Quality registers, distribution matrices and relevant boundary samples.
• Business Management:  Continually measure, monitor and provide improvement plans for improving business systems efficiency and cost reduction programs at the plant.  Maintain strong relationships with both suppliers and customers.  Coordinate the creation and implementation of a set of quality-related training modules for various levels of competency in quality tools and techniques for use as continual improvement tools at the tools.  Customer
• Relations:  Attend to customer queries and resolve accordingly.  Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with regard to quality concerns that may arise
