PURPOSE OF JOB
To achieve sustainable sales and profits by leading the restaurant team and oversee the management of all KFC systems and processes through:
-Executing a winning culture through Company principles,
-Execute systems and processes to ensure that operational standards are achieved
-Execute the delivery of customer and people promises.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Utilize principles to drive culture in restaurants during shifts
Ensure that the shift is effectively and optimum staffed at all times
Encourage team members to execute product procedures in line with CSL
Ensure that new team members execute training against their training schedule and plan
Assist in the management of all Employee Relations issues pertaining to the shift, updating the Area Coach as and when needed
Adhere to all statutory and company Health, Safety and Food Hygiene regulations at all times and take corrective action where necessary
Ensure that Company Security Procedures are followed rigorously in order to ensure the security of people, premises, stock, equipment and monies at all times.
Create a customer focused environment which is appealing to KFC’s diverse customer base
ROCC evaluation and implement actions to ensure resolution of issues and to drive consistent improvement.
Encouraging and driving team members to execute all product procedures according to standards set out in the KFC CSL
Address all customer complaints in line with company policy (PL EA SE and Taste Guarantee), escalating issues to RGM/ARM or Area Coach, where appropriate.
Support and execute the period GES plan, utilizing relevant company tools (MOT observation checklists etc.) to ensure the restaurant is consistently achieving the company standard.
Assist with the follow up on any issues arising from Health Department audits, plan to ensure corrective action is taken in a timely manner as required.
Ensure that the store consistently provides an excellent customer service by making use of the company tools and reports (e.g. prep for peak, condiment planner, checklists etc.).
Consistently seek to maximize the sales on each shift through exceptional operational standards and a ‘maniacal’ approach to customer service. Set and communicate Bold Sales Goals to the team, striving to consistently exceed sales targets.
Assist with developing a strong sales culture in your store, understand this and filter down to team members for every shift.
Assist with managing team member incentives and drive regular recognition in store as and when needed.
Ensure that points of sale are always up to date and that the team are trained on all new products enabling them to drive sales.
Encourage, motivate, and influence TM to deliver on bold SWS measures to ensure sales drive behavior is maximized.
Maximise the profitability of each shift by understanding and controlling all restaurant costs (e.g. labour, food, maintenance, and consumables etc.).
Protect company assets in line with equipment preventative maintenance and cleaning and maintaining the building and equipment in line with the schedule of authority.
Scrutinizing stock variances throughout the shift and auctioning any variances found in line with policies and procedures
Utilise system reports and company tools to guarantee 100% product availability, investigating and following up on all discrepancies.
QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Previous experience in running a restaurant
Excellent planning and time management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
Previous experience of managing a diverse workforce
Understanding of P&L
Demonstrates strong Sales Focus
Basic HR/IR knowledge (disciplinary/grievance process)
Strong Communication skills, at all levels
A track record of developing people.
