ABB’s Electrification business area is a leading provider of a full range of protection, control and measurement solutions – enabling safer and smarter electricity flow from substation to the point of consumption. You will be working as Business Development Specialist/ Product Marketing Specialist and will be part of the Electrification Business Area for Global Markets based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to the Sales Manager and will be responsible for selling medium voltage or low voltage products or system within a designated market in accordance with strategy. Building long term customer relationships and managing the resolutions faced by the customers and identifying and developing sales opportunities.
Selling of medium voltage or low voltage products or services to the customers, focusing on the volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned business units or product groups.
Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of medium voltage or low voltage products or services offering. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
Preparing the sales plans using the various tools and performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls.
Creating value for the customers by using effective sales techniques and communicating the ABB offering and strategy to the customers.

Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting collection and project management activities when needed.
Preparing offers in coordination with the bids and proposal department and the sales and marketing team and ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects such as prices and trading conditions are considered.

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in sales and marketing for the low voltage and medium voltage products.
Candidates should have experience in SAP and sales force.
Strong user experience in Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
